1947 - Was a significant year in the history of architectural hardware in New Zealand. Bill Macindoe and George Wilson started Wilson and Macindoe, assisted by both Janet and Jean Macindoe as administrative support. Their first shipment of night latches, night latch handles and cylinder locks were from the Yale Lock Company.
1979 - Scott Macindoe joined the family business, and throughout the 1990’s Scott and the team won prestigious contracts with Fletchers, Hawkins and various other businesses.
2006 - Tony and Janet Banks entered the architectural hardware industry joining Scott and Anna Macindoe in partnership, under Wilson and Macindoe.
2013 - Wilson and Macindoe and Sopers joined to form the Sopers Macindoe, which represented the merging of two very successful family-owned businesses.
2017 - Sopers Macindoe rebranded as Sopersmac, which followed the successful launch of the industry leading website Sopersmac.co.nz.
